A piecefull night! Definately a good call, being everso slightly out of town. We really like it here, so have booked in for yet another night. We must really move on, on Saturday though, otherwise, we will never get to Peru!
We literally go 2 minutes up the road to a thermal pool, we get there for 8 a.m. but apparently it opens at 4.30! It costs us a dollar each to get in, bargain! Never been in one before, it´s lovely! One is hotter than the other. The smaller, hotter one, actually makes Matt go light headed and he has to get out! I, on the other hand, love it!
The pools are right at the bottom of a waterfall, it´s very pretty. You can actually cool off in warter from it, if you are mad!
Come back to the hostel for breakfast, Matt has his scrambled eggs and I opt for a fruit pancake with yoghurt. It is massive, I don´t need to worry about my 5 a day, today!
We walk into town, and enquire about a tour. We decide not pay $45 each to go to the volcano and cycle back down! (You all know how much I like cycling down hills!). We go to the tourist information and enquire about the bus, it leaves at 2 and we can walk back down via footpaths. It costs us $1! It is cloudy at the top, and we don´t get to see the volcano, but it´s a lovely afternoon anyway. Coming back down, it is very steep,I am actually on my bum at one point! (I think the legs will ache tomorrow!) The views are amazing though!
Got back and had a nice 'hot' shower, (they have hot water here!) and actually went out for supper. We have been having a main meal mid afternoon, so haven´t been going out in the evening. Fresh pizza and the biggest salad we've ever seen! (Well, almost, anyway!.
Hit the waterfalls tomorrow!
