Barbies (not the kind with pink plastic heels)

Really tired.

Today was the bbq with other residents of Burwood Student Living...

good food and good people generally.

It was a nice day.  Not hot at all and breezy.  Warm if you stayed in the sun but a bit chilly in the shade.

Guaranteed nothing like home, but cold for here...

We may (cross your fingers) actually have found people worth hanging around.

Lindsay and I learned a little football (mainly just how to throw) and she gave a good try at tackling me.

Tomorrow we are going to go fight for concession cards and get our student IDs as well as look into DUSA.  I'm not sure I'd use it much but you automatically get $50 towards books I think and half off on O-week events which more than makes up for the $88 on the spot....

I figure why not with that...

Lindsay and I had considered visiting St. Kilda beach next weekend until I read "St. Kilda used to be known for it's prostitutes and druggies but has recently cleaned up".  I heard from someone who heard from someone there was actually a syringe on the beach?  Don't think that's true but it still seems a bit shady.

If you've heard of a good beach around here let me know : )

I need sleep now...we're getting up really early to try and conquer all this stuff.

I miss you all!

I believe St. Kilda has cleaned up. Its definitely worth a visit, some amazing food shops down there and the beach really isnt bad anymore. Syringe thing is definitely true tho, they used to find one every now and then down there but i reckon its all cleaned up now so definitely check it out. Theres a few nicer beaches about though, just not sure about your travel restraints but ask around and you'll definitely see!

St kilda beach has not cleaned up at all or should I say the filthy Melbournians. In a 5 meter area we counted 34 syringes and I estimate 150 - 200 cig butts also a lot of rubbish. This was November when they council says they clean up daily...
