My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Although new things began to make their appearance in this place lost in the mists of nowadays, still have not managed to replace all those who once made their full duty. It seems they retain a place in households if not the souls of these people, as part of their cultural and personal identity.

While most of us have trouble in figuring what last piece of technology should buy, people places don't rely on it, but only see it as another decorative element to fit in the landscape intruded, probably, by some 'invaders' that don't understand inhabitans here don't really need much to be happy. The old lady where I took the picture at, told us she doesn't recolect the last time she has used the TV. Didn't take me much to understand they have their own stories and don't need anything else that could interfere with their values and local believes.

Unfortunately, as always has to be a less positive side, young people in these lands tend to drop off ancestors legacy in favour of the temptations offered by so-called civilized world. An elderly family tols us they haven't seen their niece for nine years. At that very moment, I felt personally touched, for as I have taken the same step, some time ago, and am nowhere happier than when have lived by the principles of a simple world breast by the family I have left from.
