    Whilst riding around town I bumped into a local on a very flash mountain bike. We cycled together for a while and he invited me back to his shop hoping I'd buy something but he had nothing I needed. Finding a shop like this in China is very difficult.     The old ramshackle shops contained all manner of strange things. The Chinese seem to take great pride in their traditional crafts whereas so many other countries don't. Views[187] I was particularly struck with the bus shelters that looked very pretty and wondered whether or not we could get some of these installed back in the UK.     A great shot of the outer walls of Suzhou and a temple just inside. Without a bicycle this photo wouldn't have been feasible as it was taken from a park well hidden away from any tourists. Views[177] Quite possibly one of the best Yorkshire puddings I've ever had courtesy of Clive at his fantastic English pub in Suzhou.The place is a must visit for anyone traveling through Suzhou.     What happens when you're not keeping your eyes very peeled. This photo is called I stopped after 4 hours for a drink and bought a sprite while the locals shouted at each other. Several Indian guys turned up for a chat and while we chatted in English the locals starred in quiet interest. Views[219] My first glimpse of the Chinese waterways.
