My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Getting a NatGeo back in '91 on the andean Mendoza, Argentina wasn't easy. But my Dad wanted to educate me. He knew that travel broadens the mind. An increasing pile of yellow magazines grew on our library: I wandered Egypt, Siberia, Scandinavia whitout leaving my bed. NatGeo was my Wonderland when little, and the reason I can talk in english with you right now. I knew then that I wanted to be a photographer.
I'm Luis, 25 years, and I've been delaying my dream for too long. I'm curious about everything! Travel, wildlife, quantum physics, art history, mythology, visual thinking. The unexamined life is not worth living - as an old greek friend would say-. I love photography for it's a Scientific Art. It conveys infinite concepts, emotions and meanings, yet it can be controllable, technical, and accurate. When shooting I mind a lot of things. I have fun, but I want good shots. I try not to fall in common places with the subject. I toy with my surroundings, I walk around, I tilt, and if I'm lucky the unexpected pops in! I own a zoom lens but I like walking than zooming. I try taking pictures with my eyes before than with my camera. And I'd like to join you to the northest of the world.

Chapter 3. I move on. The road keeps doing zig zag. After passing 2 or 3 small villages hidden either by clouds or mountains, I stop. I take some time to study the inhabitants. This is no longer Machu Picchu and they're not that used to interact with strangers. This man turns back the exact moment I press the shutter - while his dog, well, was at the toilette.
