My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

'Gold in them hills'.
Chapter 2.
An intense thunderstorm woke me up in the middle of the night. But I was supposed to leave by night, and I left. You cannot wake up at 9 if you want to see the sunrise at Machu Picchu.
It seemed as if the rain were improvising a symphony. Every drop of water did different sounds while reaching the leaves of any kind of tropical plants. After walking through the gloomy jungle I arrived to the entrance of Machu Picchu. 
Our Sun unveils the characteristic lines of Machu Picchu against the dense, shallow clouds and the bright mist that cover the Lost City of the Incas
