My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I am a University graduate, with a BA Honours Degree in Photography. The fact of the matter is, I found out very shortly after qualifying that getting a job in photography, which would allow me to sustain myself financially, was a considerably hard conquest. For over a year now, I have been employed as a cover supervisor in a primary school, waiting for that opportunity to get back to what I really love. When that chance comes, I will grab it with both hands.
I found out about the scholarship, while watching the National Geographic channel. A short film about Jason Edwards came on the screen and it instantly roused a want in me to apply. I am of a documentary nature; I wish to explore everything I possibly can with a camera, capturing every invisible detail that collectively informs us of the true world. If I could combine travel and taking photographs with my incessant interest in cultures, people and exploration, I would be living my purpose.
“When people look at my pictures I want them to feel the way they do when they want to read a line of a poem twice.”
