Even though it’s a wide-open expanse where everything is more visible, the landfill is so much more loving towards the dances pouring in from just a block away… however humble, she already claims a sovereignty all her own. But will Beirut ever let her be?

Meanwhile from afar, nature looks calm and forgiving. But somehow she’s always veiled from direct awareness; interspersed by geometrical entities of our making, themselves so innocent, they really have no say in the game, except becoming as silent and gazeful as nature itself.

A hill of sand gravel suspended in the sunset is entitled to become as majestic as the view it's intended to host. For the time being, foreign construction workers are the ones privileged to roam her liberating peaks.
