My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

When I was a kid, holidays were always about jumping in the car and driving too far away places. It was adventures like this where I earned my reputation as being that constantly annoying kid with the wind up camera, which wanted to stop everywhere and capture amazing shots. Nothing would thrill me as much as seeing the photos for the first time. All of the experiences would flood back....and that feeling is one hard to describe, but still happens today, the serarch for that feeling, drives me to that better shot.

Now, all grown up, nothing much has changed, only the camera is a lot bigger, and the passion I have to turn those photos of amazing places, into amazing shots, brings out the child in me, and the professional that I want to be. And that is why I love photography. Of all my passions in life, it is the one that has the power to possess my mind and overtake my feelings of place. It is why I have decided to go straight from school, into university, and now having completing those journeys, I want to start my own, and such an opportunity as this scholarship and the mentorship of Jason Edwards would provide the best beginnings to my much anticipate journey of discovery.
