    Before a warning to those who dump waste, is a skip full of dumped rubbish and chemical containers. But this was nothing compared to the small, illegal dumps just metres from road, obscured by the marsh. by: lookcloser Views[204] Just around the corner from where the country was born in 1770, harmless activity starts early in the morning. by: lookcloser Views[182] This boat, although old and battered, has a very fitting compariosn to whats happend to the land and bay around it. by: lookcloser Views[189] The majesty of the bay meets the protruding arm of the refinery. All that is visible is the large tankers queing to remove their gold, and the signs on the pylon, telling me I have to stand well back or risk prosecution. by: lookcloser Views[199] The refinery overwhelmes the land around it, not only with the waste it produces and its size, my the overwhelming odour that is hard to describe. by: lookcloser Views[188]
