    Laura smiled as she watched Leonardo try to understand that the man in front of him was the same face he used to see at night on a computer screen. That was the first of many nights that Jesus will sleep at home with his family again. Life of a military family is not easy; they must face emotional challenges day by day, especially when the soldier is in the war front, but this is one of their happiest days. by: lolagomez Views[230] Only after the Welcome Home Ceremony can families receive their soldiers. It was a very emotional moment; shouts and happy cries filled the air as they all ran to hug and kiss their soldiers who were away from home for a year serving their country. She was waiting a year for this moment when her husband would return home safely from Afghanistan. She is surrounded by other families welcoming their soldiers home with banners and open arms. by: lolagomez Views[335] The 277 ASB Hangar is one of the places that Fort Drum (Watertown, NY) use to welcome troops returning home. On October, 2012, more than 200 families gathered there to welcome home the FSC 7th Engineer Battalion that served in Afghanistan. One of them, U.S. Army Sargent First Class Jesus Jimenez (front row, third from right) had left only 10 days after his child was born.
