There is nothing more beautiful than watching the sun descend below the horizon, as the clouds transform across a multitude of colours, its beauty lasting mere seconds; I panic in shock, "Where is my camera!".
I grew up looking through the lens of a camera as my way of seeing the world. My dad's permanent attachment to his videocamera must have rubbed off onto me, as I am never seen without my camera. It is not only awe-inspiring landscapes that excite me, but also light bouncing off a light instalment or water residue left in a glass.
Photography & travel is a passion which sculpted my education: I enrolled as a Geography student in London, realising halfway through my studies that I want to be the one behind the camera taking photos, not studying them in books inside a dusty library.

I decided to discontinue my studies (for now) to do what inspires me: film & photography. A recent internship as an underwater videographer made me see this dream; the feeling I get when you see your creation published is indescribable: the adrenaline and flutter of the heart, "I took that!". This scholarship would help develop my skills, and bring me closer to a dream I continue to pursue.
