    Single File- the great ascent begins. Trekkers are focused and full of energy as they climb up through the dry and dusty terrain. by: livelife Views[355] High Altitude Sports- A makeshift volleyball net at the foot of Everest Base Camp- this image tries to represent the 'normality' of life on the mountain through sport. Whether you are at sea level or 5000m high, sports play a huge role in any community. by: livelife Views[1364] Rocky Terrain- this photo was taken not far from our final destination. The rocky terrain was one of the many landscapes we crossed on the journey and the stream of water was a refreshing reminder of water in it's purest form. by: livelife Views[949] Loo with a View- one of the few enclosed toilets along the trek. You had to be careful when exiting that a) you didn't slip off the side of the mountain and b) there weren't any yaks to knock you down. This image tries to capture the simplicity of life on the mountain. by: livelife Views[459] It's a big wide world out there- a small girl ponders what's out there as she looks across the Himalayas.
