Hi guys,
After few days in BA (thank you so much Nico for putting me up in Cabildo), I am now in the North of Argentina and feel that i kept the best for the end (as far as Argentina is concernat at least). It s a fascinating place not only it has stunning landscapes but the precomlombian culture is very strong (we are not yet in Bolivia but the culture and people is getting quite similar). I started in Santiago del Estero and went to visit the provincia of Tucuman, Salta (where i went to see one of the legend of Argentinian folklore – El Chaqueño), and Jujuy with the stunning hill “El Cerro de los siete colores” in Pumarmarca and the peñas (tradicional bars) where they play andean music.
One of the stronguest experience here was to camp for 3 days in the mountains following a traditional religious celebration of the region during the holly week. We climbed for 7 hours till 4000m with local bands from every villages playing. Staid up there for a couple of days and went down the other side with the statue of the Virgen from Coppacabana. I did this little adventure with a couple of french (Pierrot and Anais), as well as a french fotographer leaving in Argentina (Alex) and a couple of argentinian guys (Santiago y Daniel). We were probably few of the only tourist there which made it all the more exciting!
Also i went to the very interesting Quilmes archeological site where one of the descent from the indians quilmes told us the story of his people. Against the Incas invasions, and the spanish ones they kept strong until another tribe from the region betrayed them and helped the spanish to enslave them and take the ones they could capture to Buenos Aires.
Well well here are some of the highlights …I am at the moment in the atmosperic town of Humauaca and getting ready to cross to Bolivia,

Salut tout le monde,
Après quelques jours à Buenos Aires (Nico merci encore de m´avoir hébergé à Cabildo), je me trouve actuellement au Nord de l Argentine avec l impression d´avoir garder le meilleur pour la fin (en tout cas en ce qui concerne l Argentine). C est un coin fascinant … non seulement pour ses paysages mais aussi pour la force de la culture précolombienne (ce n est pas encore la Bolivie mais la culture et la population s en rapproche). J ai commencé à Santiago del Estero, puis est traversé les provinces de Tucuman, Salta (ou j ai pu voir en concert une des légendes du foklore argentin - El Chaqueño), et enfin Jujuy avec notamment la magnifique colline “El Cerro de los siete colores” à Pumarmarca et les peñas (bars traditionnels) où l on joue de la musique andine.
Une des expériences les plus marquantes ici fut d aller camper durant 3 jours dans les montagnes pour suivre une célébration religieuse de la région durant la semaine Sainte. Nous sommes monté 7 heures jusqu à 4000m avec les groupes de musique locaux de chaque villages. Nous sommes restés 2 jours puis sommes descendu de l´autre coté avec la statue de la vierge de Coppacabana. J ai vécu cette petite aventure avec un couple de francais (Pierrot et Anais), ainsi qu un photographe francais résident en Argentine (Alex) et 2 argentins (Santiago et Daniel). Nous étions surement les seuls quelques touristes … c était d autant plus interressant.
Autrement je suis aussi allé visiter les ruines de indiens Quilmes oú un de leurs descendants nous a conté l histoire de son peuple. Contre les invasions incas, puis celles des espagnols ils ont résistés jusqu à qu une des autres tribus de la régions les trahisse et aide les espagnols à les réduire en esclavage et à emmener ceux qu ils ont pu capturer à Buenos Aires.
Bon pour l instant je suis dans la charmante ville d´Humauaca et me prépare à passer en Bolivie.

PS Bon Anais tu vois que j ai finalement admis que l on soit monter à 4000m haha. En tout cas j espère que vous avez bien fini le voyage … A+
