Outriggers in Sydney Harbour for Parks Congress

Outriggers in Sydney Harbour for Parks Congress

Here is a stunning photo of the Pacific canoes coming into Sydney Harbour.  They had been navigated from Samoa and here they are carrying Pacific Leaders to the World Parks Congress (see previous story).

Not quite as fancy but in the On the water photos you can see our recent kayak expedition to Nikko Bay.  Nikko Bay is a stunning group of rock islands.  We happily paddled and snorkelled around for a day.  The water is beautifully clear and warm and we saw a multitude of fish plus several turtles!  Plenty of birdlife too -including the gorgeous Biib (see photo).

And no one fell in or got hit by a paddle!  We will be doing more of these explorations by kayak.  We also do outrigger canoeing - but that will be another story.
