Hola from Lima everybody. We are having a great time in Peru. The language thing is a little difficult but I am sort of getting there. Lee - Ann is having a bit of trouble but she is giving it a go. She did threaten to smack some guy in the chicken the other night. Just kidding. Traffic here is a nightmare and the taxis drive like idiotic maniacs. We have visited a heap of historic cathedrals and museums. I went paragliding the other day, off the cliffs at the beach. What a rush. We have tried eating local food when we can but it is a little difficult as there is a lot of tourist traps. Tried some local beer, which is not too bad. On Saturday we caught one of the taxis I mentioned before, up to the Cerro San Cristobal which is a 409 mt hill. To get there you have to go through some poor areas. The information centre said not to take the bus up there as there were to erratic and unsafe which is saying something when you see the way the taxis get up there. Half way up we had to wait for a truck unloading bricks. The taxi driver asked us to lock all the doors. What a mission but the view from up there was so spectacular it was worth it.Later that day went to the races. Anyway we are now off to Cusco. Will talk then.
