My name is Tracy Desborough, I am a 38yr old amateur enthusiast, with a burning desire to “learn to see” through the lens of my much loved and hard worked Canon.

My interest in Photography developed, in some part, flicking through National Geographic magazines from an early age. I was inspired and drawn to the emotion of the images captured and have a drive to present “the story” and emotion of an image, in camera, as much as possible. I believe in the true representation of a scene and have strived to honour that concept with my developing eye and developing skill. I have been challenged to “see” through the lens and embrace every opportunity to deliver it differently. This I am committed to. I see this opportunity as a chance to focus on my learning and love of a “powerful” image and gain invaluable direction and experience.

I strive to continue my journey “learning to see” life from a different perspective, capturing it’s beauty through the lens, presenting this to the wider photographic community in a charged and meaningful way. I hope through this amazing scholarship opportunity with the hope to break into the freelance photography arena.
