Meditation After-Effects
LAOS | Wednesday, 25 July 2007 | Views [632]
So I've been trying to meditate every day, but it's really only happening every OTHER day for about 40 minutes....not bad. I've definitely noticed changes in myself since the retreat finished. I'm definitely not as forgetful and scatter-brained as usual (of course, throw me back into a classroom, and I might be!) If I set something down, I remember where I put it. If I take off my shoes, I notice where I'm putting them. I've become a bit more calm, less high-strung, and more "in the present moment." Of course, that could just be because I'm traveling and not working. Or it could be that the meditation has had a slight effect....only returning to my "real" life (if that's what it really is) or "hectic" life will tell! Perhaps YOU can tell me, when you see me next!
