Day 6

GREECE | Wednesday, 30 June 2010 | Views [231] | Comments [1]

Today was the first day of lessons (a term i use loosely.)  We got to the school where would be doing all our lessons in Kalymnos early because the arch bishop of kalymnos was coming to bless us. He came in and greeted us all, I was the only one who refused to kiss his hand, Papou would be pround. They did some chanting and splashed some water around and the blessing was done. After the blessing the local TV station came and we all got to say a few words about where we are from and what we are studying, They airing it tonight apparently.

After this we had Nicko from the school give us a run down on hot to use Greek keyboards and powerpoint so we know how to do our final assignments. We came back and spent most of the day around the pool.

At night we went to the same ouzeri as last night to eat. During or meal the governor of Rhodes came over to say hello. He asked us why we’re not going to Rhodes this year, and George politely said that we don’t have the time to this year. The real reason is because Rhodes was too stingy to fork out any money for us to go,  τσιγγούνιθες.

That night we came back, had a chat for a while and went to bed.
