SENSE OF TOUCH. A young boy finds a toy car in a sack of segregrated trash. Instead of purely enjoying their childhood, the kids are already taught how to find reusable items from mounds of filthy garbage. They have to learn to rummage using their hands in order to get more money for the family.

SENSE OF SMELL. People living in Payatas—even those at a very young age—are exposed
to the nasty smell of their surrounding. They have to endure and get used to the
stench, for collecting garbage is their primary livelihood. An innocent boy
covers his nose as he stares at the amount of waste outside their home.

SENSE OF TASTE. A young girl holds a slice of 'freshly picked' Indian mango from the
garbage and drinks a glass of soda bought from a retail store. At the end of the
day, it is their survival from hunger that matters most. Just like all other people, they find more appetite in
the food that are fruits of their labor.
