Well the gorgeous weather continues in England.  Really feels like a lovely Melbourne summer's day.  It is 7.15pm and I have still got shorts and singlet top on as quite warm.

Today I was very lucky to be taken to the Lake District (http://www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/home ) by Sue (Sarah's mum) for the day.  Sarah's parents have a gorgeous holiday cottage in the village of Ullswater.  The cottage's name is "Dunmallet cottage" and it is truly lovely and in the most magnificent location with a river at the end of the garden.  Sat in the a garden and had a lovely lunch while watching the ducks floating past and families swimming in the river.  Would love to return and stay a few days as really is lovely area and lots of places to explore.  After having a well deserved ice cream we headed home back to Hexham and Sue showed me parts of Hadrian's wall (http://www.visithadrianswall.co.uk/) along a very long road that was originally many, many, many years ago a roman road.

About to have a glass of wine or two and get ready for the next journey tomorrow, Italy!  Will be flying to Florence via Paris and not looking forward to the flights as have been lost before at Charles De Gaulle airport while changing terminals.  Wish me luck!!

Love Karen xxx
