Nicholas & Kathryn go AWOL

Shropshire and Wales

Well forgive me if this is brief but it's the third damn time I've tried to write it in 2 days and the internet keeps dying!!! Ok so last weekend we stayed with my friend Rory and his wife Julia on their farm near Wem in Shropshire. Had a lovely relaxing time and even got to see canal boats cross the aqueduct in Chirk. On Monday morning we headed to Conwy and saw the castle, built by King Edward I's men in 1283. From there we stayed two nights in Caernarfon (prounounced Canarvon), and on Tuesday we climbed Mt Snowdon the highest peak in Britain south of the Scottish Highlands at 1085m. It was a 16km round trip and without including breaks took us 4.5 hours!!!I am still sore and Nicholas has no muscle pain.... On Wednesday we looked at Caernarfon Castle also built by King Edwards men. They built castles all around the Snowdonia National Park to protect it from the Welsh rebellion. Last night we stayed in a hotel by the river in Dinas Mawddwy. We were the only ones there until a family turned up, looks like Wales is really not that touristy!!!! Tonight we are in Brecon, didn't take long to cruise down to here. This is also on the border of a national park. Tomorrow we will head towards Pembroke which is where we will catch the ferry on Saturday afternoon to Ireland!!!!! didelee dee

Please please please save.......

Hi
It is real cold here today snow on the ground.I shifted the sheep last night so that we could wait until the day improved before have to go outside.Sounds like a true adventure. Some of the place names are a real tounge twister.Away to Ireland they say it took a 150 years to develope Ginuse and the same time to pour it so good luck.
Love
