Ireland so far

Wow!!! It's been about 10 days since I last wrote on here so you can probably imagine we have done a tonne of things!! We left Wales on Saturday the 18th by ferry to Rosslare, Ireland. Somehow we got into Cabin Class which meant an awesome seat and free wine and food for the entire 4 hour journey! Stayed the night in Rosslare harbour and had our first irish breakfast on the Sunday, awesome. From there we caught the bus to Dublin. Had the rest of the day to check it out. Being a Sunday it wasn't really that happening. We did have a drink in the oldest pub in Ireland though. On Monday morning we joined our 10 day all Ireland tour with Paddywagons. We are currently on day 7 of the tour. Our tour guide and driver for the first 5 days was Phil. We were soooo lucky to have him, he is such a funny funny man, and we all just loved him. There are about 30 of us on the tour. So we left Dublin and headed to Derry in Northern Ireland. Went on a walking tour there. Tuesday night we went to Belfast and the next morning we did the Black Cab tour. It is a fantastic tour and we learnt an awful lot about the conflict going on between the Prodestants and the Catholics. Back to Derry for Wednesday night. Thursday we stayed in a place called Cong. They wer eshort of beds in the dorm so Nicholas, Mark and I unknowingly volunteered as the only three person group to do whatever it was required of us. So what it meant was we got upgraded to the hotel above the pub!!!! haha. So that was pretty good, didn't have to walk too far and we got to have an ensuite. On Friday we stayed the night in Galway. On our way we stopped off at a beach town and Nicholas and I had a seaweed bath. Supposed to be good for our skin and all that. It was a weird feeling, felt like we were completely covered in gel! Nice and relaxing though and set us up for a good snooze on the bus! On Saturday morning we said goodbye to Phil and met our new guide Gabe. Gabe, is not like Phil, he talks a whole heap more and sings a lot! We haven't all warmed to him yet. I think we were spoilt with Phil and are having withdrawals!!! So last night we stayed on the Dingle Peninsula and tonight are in Killarney for two nights!!! Yay, love the two night stops. We ahve seen some fantastic coastal scenery. The Giant's Causeway is a highlight as is the rope bridge we did, which got shut down after we crossed due to the 50mph winds!! I was extremely scared for my life! I love the tour group, all a fantastic bunch, mainly Australians and Kiwis, but that's always good. Meeting some others from Europe that can help us when we move on from here and the UK. Will do another update on Ireland before we leave here for Scotland next Thursday. Been travelling a month today, far out time flies....
