Day 113 - BBQ Island

PANAMA | Monday, 22 September 2014 | Views [393]

Woke up to blissful sunshine before 6am in the most magnificent spot I think I've ever been. We really are in paradise. Surrounded by tiny islands with lush palm trees, white sands, turquoise waters & a really lovely group of people we could want for nothing more.

After a tasty fruit salad feast on deck we swam over to BBQ island (formerly known as turtle island)
Turtle island. We all had an epic beach Volleyball tournament in which even the Island Chief, Alcides played.

At that point everyone agreed to stay here in this piece of paradise for one extra day. I could imagine how people never leave :)

Lunch back on the boat & then Lindy and I swam for about a kilometer or two to another island checking out a few reefs along the way.

The others scored us 8 lobsters & a trigger fish to BBQ on the island for dinner. Cooked on a fire of coconut shells with more rum in coconuts, we had a seafood feast that truly complemented our million dollar view.

The Sandflies & mossies got a bit too much after dinner so we retreated back to the boat. Unfortunately both Becky & I were up all night being sick :( slept out in deck under the Milky Way but felt so rotten it wasn't the most pleasant way to take in the stars.
