Day 106 - Isla De Coiba

PANAMA | Sunday, 14 September 2014 | Views [326]

Another early morning although today we had perfect sunshine to start with at least!

First dive was at Dos Tetas, the second at Frijoles & the final
dive at Mali Mali. We saw humpback whales again & today we also saw a nurse shark amidst more turtles, schools of fish & amazing reef life.

The ride back to Santa Catalina took us through a massive storm. It was a pretty rough, wet journey back but we were all grinning and in good spirits albeit with sore backsides!

The rain just kept bucketing down & the power was out so we made a run for it with our gear across the road from the dive school & checked back in at Rolos. We planned to meet back up with Tony for dinner & he kindly agreed to let us catch a ride with him to Panama City tomorrow too!

For dinner we settled at a local street side place near the beach which fortunately has a huge generator. After massive meals washed down with jugo de maracuya (passionfruit juice) we dashed back through the rain & pretty much headed straight for bed! 9 dives does make you a little tired.
