Day 101 - David

PANAMA | Sunday, 14 September 2014 | Views [212]

Woke up early to explore Turtle beach & Long beach before we left Isla Bastimentos and to make the most of the morning before a day in transit.

We took the ferry back to Bocas then another ferry to Almirante where we got a bus to David to stop for the night.

It was pouring with rain & we ended up settling in at a sweet little hostel called Purple house. Everything was purple- the sheets, crockery & the walls. The place also had a washing machine & dryer - massive win! We cooked up a tasty dinner & spent the night chatting with random other guests.

One guy from Kansas, Logan, had already ridden 7,000 miles from the states across Central America. He was no Tony but had his share of stories. He is pretty much following our route south so no doubt we will see him again sometime!

Despite a 4.30am start to commute to Santa Catalina I crept into bed at almost 1am. Couldn't put an early end to the hilarious conversation could I?
