Another hell of a day – a 6-mile climb out of Rawlins, an unrelenting headwind, boiling sun, and not a tree around until the end of the day. Now I was traveling with Phil and Shannon, who decided to try riding the Great Divide for a few days. I was glad to have the company and they were glad to have a break from the highway.
We were glad to leave Wyoming and enter Colorado, and camped at the sweetest campsite you can imagine – creek nearby for water and a bath, lots of firewood and nice tent sites. I made a big-ass fire, Phil filtered water, and Shannon cooked up some tasty grub.
