My name is Kathryn, I discovered photography through my love of exploring the world around me. Whether it be taking photos of my local town or at one of the charity events I organise as part of my job role. This has inspired me to visit countries in Asia which fascinate me with their unique cultures. And I use my pictures to capture their essence and share this with my family and friends.

I want to use my photography to show the consequences of our actions, whether it be the devastation of war or of the affects of climate change. I want to keep learning to improve my photography, to promote this message to a wider audience. If I win the scholarship, it will help me to develop my photography skills in a setting that captures my imagination.
