Snowboarding.... Wooo!

SOUTH KOREA | Tuesday, 11 March 2008 | Views [2519]

So this weekend I went snowboarding to Yongpyon which is about 2 hrs north west from DOngtan, it was my first time on the slopes and considerin how clumsy I am I think I did well not to break or twist owt on the slopes. I Loved it though soo much fun although I didnt actually didnt brave it too many times facing forward down the mountain cuz i couldnt get up. So I tried snowboardin facing the mountain and goin down backwards on my toes instead of heels. I fell over less but did fall back a couple of times an smacked my head on the snow which wasnt very soft because of the weather conditions. It was pretty toasty out because it was soo sunny which made the snow turn into slush later on and when the sun went in, in the evening the slush turned into ice so it was pretty dangerous snowboardin at night. I attempted one run and there were chunks of ice trippin me up so I thought it best to quit whilst I was ahead and hadnt broken anything. So when everyone came in from the evening ski an snowboard we jus had a chilled out night in the hotel room which you can see on the photo album. Its jus one room shared by all of us which was a total of 8 and slept on the heated floor wrapped in blankets. We drank and played cards and listened to music. The next day it was too icy to ski soo we had something to eat an played bowling uuntil the bus back arrived at 5pm. It was soo much fun but its the end of the season now so cant go again til next winter...shame Id like to practice more and maybe actually go down the slopes the right way round this time lol. xx
