DAY 96. Nelson Day

NEW ZEALAND | Monday, 30 January 2017 | Views [377]

After waking up, I headed to the city center to run some errands and to shop. It was nice to be out of the house on my own and to be a bit productive. Since Nelson is pretty small, I still ran into people from the hostel, however. It was Nelson Day, so not all the shops were open though. Each town/city has its own day when it was founded. I came back to the hostel and made a big salad. Otto made a bunch of mojitos for everyone to celebrate the day. They were dangerously good. We played ring of fire (kings cup) and it was a lot of fun with a few new people in the house. Then we played another card game and after, we just gave up on games. Tio played music from his native country of Kerabas (?) on his guitar for everyone. I started feeling the mojitos and actually had the thought to start drinking water instead. More hanging out before bed.
