I made breakfast, hung out at Alison's, and after awhile I called Ryan. We hadn't talked on the phone since he left so we were on the phone for quite a few hours. It was getting close to dinner time so I turned on the oven to cook the roast I had thawed out. I cooked carrots, kumara, and cauliflower too. I had never made up a roast before so I wasn't exactly sure how long to leave it in for. I cut into it to see how it was cooking but it still needed a little bit longer.
David returned from work and the roast was almost done. We served up and ate while catching the nightly news. I was happy with how the lamb turned out given I wasn't really sure what I was doing. I cleaned up the kitchen and David and I chatted some more. I headed off to my room to relax and call Ryan again.
