We arrived safely after a 7 hour bus trip ($13USD) was reasonably comfortable, apart from the young child who screamed intermittently throughout. Amazing something so small could produce so much noise. Cambodia is different again, the houses are built high from the ground, and the poverty is evident. Lots of development occurring as it catches up to its neighbors. We took a tuk-tuk which here is a four seater covered carriage pulled by a motorbike, comfy and fun. Our hotel is a lovely french style villa with a pool and lush greenery and has certainly met our expectations www.thepavilion.asia worth a look. The girls enjoyed lounging in the daybeds drinking juices. We went out and had a really nice dinner, I had prawns in a clay pot with coconut curry sauce and bread to soak it up, Hayley had a stir fried noodle dish, and Billi, a chicken and rice dish. With an entree of spring rolls and drinks, the meal cost around $20 USD, so a little more expensive than Vietnam. All were yummy! After dinner we swam in the pool under the coconut palms, pretty cool, and had a coctail. Ian arrives around 1pm today, so we will have a lazy morning till he arrives. Love to all!
