Stressed out

Brush cutting with Park's Conservation Club

Brush cutting with Park's Conservation Club

Wednesday was election day, another public holiday so DeWildt was closed.  But not for the volunteers.  I rushed to the center to get Parks and his kids started again, got the truck up the hill for them, walked down for the Nissan Safari, drove back to the lodge, picked up the white kids and headed for the cheetah camp.  This is the nearest to stress I have felt in nearly a year.  Now I know what Ann and Vanessa go though every day.  Cloning, anyone?

We spent the morning cutting lantana and queen of the night , a nasty cactus like critter with lethal spines.  Rough work considering Parks has most of the ‘good’ tools.  The guys love the slashers, extremely unsuited for this work, but very macho.
