Busselton Jetty - nearly 2 kms long

Sunday 15th November

Preston Beach WA

Finally found our way back to the coast and the blustery Indian Ocean.

Early today we visited the small diary town of Harvey where Nic's family first lived when arriving from Italy last century. Still a small farming village, with a town Museum open on Sundays from 2-4. As  it was 3pm, we were compelled to drop in. Talked with the local historians, drove up 6th street, which still exists as a dairy farm and was once Yacopetti land. Fun to see.

We've found another bush camp site that was full when we drove through it before our beach visit.  But by late today (Sunday evening), all the happy campers had left and we have the place all  but to ourselves (and two others).

Another lovely night filled with stars, but alas, no fires permitted here.
