Rhodes
At
sunrise we were able to see the coast of Rhodes Island. On the other
side of the boat we can see the Turkish coast only 12 kms away. We
chose to take a snorkeling trip to a gorgeous little bay outside the
main town called Kallithea Springs - the water was crystal clear and
visibility excellent, but the fish life was not what we are used to
in the waters of Australia.
We
returned to the main city and entered the fabulous walled Old Town,
Europe's largest inhabited medieval city. We walked around the
Palace of the Grand Masters and were immersed in images of the
Knights Templar. We had lunch at a little Greek taverna and met an
Aussie couple from Abbortsford. Small world!
Back
on board for a little siesta as the boat heads towards Athens. We
like traveling like this. :)
