Iguazu Falls

We awoke to rain and pestilence outside our window. Copacabana beach was deserted and rain was lashing the shore. Time to move on. Our driver arrived and we were whisked to the airport for our flight to Iguazu. We arrived in Iguaza and the sun was shining. Our driver drove us to our hotel, Das Cataratas, which unfortunately is being renovated. Fortunately the section we were in has been completed and were upgraded to a luxury room overlooking the falls for our trouble. Much more grand than we hoped for. How us!

We did the incredible walk along the Brazilian side of the falls and got very, very wet – huge fun and stunning vistas. (Jim here... I was at the falls 9 years ago with my friend Noelene from Sydney but we stayed on the Argentine side and due to visa issues did not venture onto the Brazilian side). Worth the re-visit, definitely.

Dinner at the hotel's restaurant- yeeks it was expensive, but lovely.
