Walked
for hours today. Started the day with the New York Times and coffee
in the Cafe next to the hotel then spent a few hours walking through
Soho, visiting galleries with Miro, Picasso, Warhol etc on the walls
... nice! Met tom for lunch and then got wet. Basically as we left
the restaurant we were hit with a massive New York downpour.
Completely soaked!. Tom felt worry for me and bought me an umbrella.
Said goodbye and I raced to a taxi in the downpour and headed to
Clinton street to Danilo's place. D has renovated the apartment that
he and Nic lived in and it's a wonderful reflection of him. We
walked and talked and talked and walked all over the Village and had
dinner at an old friend of nic's restaurant. I finally said goodbye
to D early in the morning. He is a wonderful friend. Thanks also to
Tom for making my stay so memorable.
