Victor's House

USA | Thursday, 23 July 2009 | Views [386]

Victor's house is a quintessential San Fran Victorian three story place on 18 street. What makes it so special is Victor himself. He has created a magical, mystery tour of the most eclectic, enigmatic, ephemera to be found in a private home. In one room you can reach out and touch a reliquary containing bones from St Blaize, St Terence, St Agathe and St Catherine and this is sitting next to sealed tin of Altoids from the 50s, which is sitting on a elaborate Art Deco wooden fireplace, containing a variety of mantelpiece clocks from the past 200 years. In the same room are three antique toy racing cars made for a 5 yr old to drive. All of this is under the influence of a giant 1890 steel and stain glass window that infuses the room with red, blue and gold. Then there is the grand piano in the next room.
