This is my first official entry, but I'm going to keep it pretty short. I'm writing from the upstairs bedroom of Jered's parents house. The whole family is downstairs watching the women's high school state volleyball championships. Volleyball is so big here and I can see why - these girl's are amazingly good. The boys I've been playing with the past couple of years would get embarassed. Plus I've got a new bff, Jered's little nephew who won't let me out of his sight for too long.
Hawaii has been good to me thus far. We haven't done much, but that's exactely why I wanted to start here. It's been nice to disconnect from all the moving and goodbye madness in Seattle. I could have done without the lost baggage on my flight over, but luckily it came through later that night.
I've really enjoyed reconnecting with Jered and his friends. They've all got great energy and it shows on the dance floor. We've had a couple nice days at the beach and are planning a BBQ at Queen's beach tomorrow. We're looking for a good hike and maybe a kayak trip on Monday.
Well time to go play cars one last time and then head back to Jered's apartment to get ready for the night's activities. I'll try to write again in the next couple of days.
