Da' Dome an ting

The one thing everyone says is the epitome of Australian culture and cannot be missed when visiting Melbourne is a trip to the Telstra Dome to see a famous “Aussie Rules” football match- So of course we went… and caught a really good, tension- filled match between the two big teams in Melbourne (John: it was Carlton and the Western Bulldogs)- the place was huge! With thousands of screaming fans (one in particular behind me continued to scream “go blue boys!!” repeatedly for the whole match- I was ready for grabbing her damn flag and giving her a good wack by the end) Other than that- really good fun- basically like Irish Gaelic Football- big muscley men thrashing each other for an hour or so.

But then you haven't seen the rugby? The rugby boys are something else if you like big muscley men thrashing each other.. the aussie rules boys are little girls compared to them.....
