Saturday Night Fever!

On Saturday morning I spent a few hours up at the mill which was a fantastic experience. Unfortunately the weather made it impossible to see the actual mine site - rain and fog limited vision to about 10 metres. Never mind another time!
Saturday afternoon was a bit more shopping and watching the V8 supercars at Darwin.
Saturday night was the disco at the Hash Harriers Club to raise funds for the local Rugby Union team the Tabubil Cats. It was a very funny but good night. Lots of good company, music and dancing - my kind of party!
One of the building and construction trainers, Jack Rex, has been asked to go to Port Moreby and help to update their current (1998) training standards. He is a very experienced trade trainer who has really revelled in this course. He is now armed with our latest training package and he hopes to implement as much of it as he can. Good to see them putting their new skills to work so quickly.
Today will be just making sure the trainees understand what their final tasks should include and I have a couple of brain teasers for them to do over the next few days just to keep them on their toes. I will do the validation exercises with them this afternoon.
Well bye for now.
Gerard.
