    Anai resting by the stove at dawn. In the village the temperature drops to -10deg after sunset. So before it turns dark, villagers would head home. Anai is resting infront of the stove that is not only use to cook but to keep warm. Anai is a salutation for grandmother. It means Family having lunch infront of the stove that is used to cook and keep warm. by: jannakifli Views[233] The elderly carry out heavy chores however, they are extremely fit. The villagers would climb up the mountains to the forested area to collect raw materials such as firewoods and pine needles. This is a picture of an elderly carrying pine needles on her back using a rope. Given that the mountain is steep, they are unable to use any vehicles but to carry on their backs. by: jannakifli Views[356] Yak farmers walk their yaks everyday usually in the morning. During summer, they tske the yaks up the mountain where the weather is cooling and there is green grass for the yaks to eat. During winter the yaks are taken to the corn field to feed on the left over stubs. by: jannakifli Views[337] The view of Village Long Wan Bian that is situated at the foot of Mount Haba. Long Wan Bian is a hui ethnic village that adopts a tibetan's lifestyle. by: jannakifli Views[395]
