Another cloudy day with intermittent showers and very cold - I think the max it reached today was in the low 50s (Fahrenheit).
Nonetheless, we managed to cut up an old pallet that was left over from the delivery of the pavers and nailed together a fairly sturdy floor for the base of the garden shed.
This had to be done, because;
-the site where the shed will sit is rough concrete and probably very uneven,
-as you can see, there is a 3" raised wall of concrete in front of the left shed door, which would foul the opening of the door if the shed was located on the original concrete. So raising the shed by the height of the pallet material will allow the door to clear the concrete wall.
So that was built and trimmed to fit and the shed was assembled very easily, following a simple set of instructions which were obviously written by someone who could speak English. It all went together in about 30 minutes and now stands as a testimony to DIYers. After it was assembled, I wrote a review for the Lowes website and gave a complimentary report on how simple the operation was for us.
Leanne painted up her (knife), fork and spoon clock that we found in a department store a week or so ago.
Apart from that it was too cold to do much, so we didn't.
