Labour Day here in the US and for those students still in the Virginia schooling system, it is the last day of their very long summer break from July till now.
Marg and Leanne had a long list of tasks to do for the wedding and shops to visit, so they were out most of the day doing whatever it is that prospective brides and their mothers do, in advance of a wedding. They arrived home just after lunch laden with parcels and shopping bags, but left again as soon as they had unloaded the car - they had missed some shops in the morning and were obliged to return for more trading experiences.
Brian and I more or less took the day off, only a few minor tasks were undertaken - it was just nice to relax and look at the completed and colourful backyard.
