feeling better – her nighttime cough has all but disappeared and she’s getting
some sleep at last. So it seems we are
both now functioning normally and have not spread these germs any further.
Decided to
visit some shops today so we walked over I 395 (a super concrete walkway
encased in thick mesh – I will attach a photo soon of the traffic on this eight
lane highway), to Target, JC Penny and Home Depot. Again, I forgot to take the camera, as I
wanted to get a photo of the people escalator which also has a trolley
escalator, for those who can’t be separated from their shopping.
At Home
Depot among other things we wanted to pick up a laser pointer, as it is a handy
gadget for presentations when using photos, if you need to point out some
interesting facet. It is also a great
toy for cats – they have many incomplete moments, vainly chasing the red spot.
It was
difficult trying to explain what we wanted to the people in Home Depot, but
after sorting out the difference between torches and flashlights with a hefty
Colombian shop assistant, we finally found what we were looking for, but it
looked incomplete as the packaging had been torn open. Although the Colombian said she couldn’t
identify the item by the attached bar code, to see if the store had any more,
one of the other more gifted attendants said he could and he did. So we walked away, satisfied with our $1.97
purchase. We will probably go back and
get a couple more, now that we know the price !

a long day.
