Marg still has a persistent dry cough, so we decided to go back to the Minute Clinic on Rolling Road to see if any additional help might be prescribed. This time the Family Nurse Practitioner was an Asian lady, with a black nurse under instruction.
Again there was little or no delay in getting to see the FNP and even the digital registration process was short circuited - no doubt the details from our previous visit were already on the computer.
Marg emerged with a prescription for cough syrup and more tablets and instructions to use one or the other each night. She was warned of the possibility of bronchitis but hopefully, while the FNP was probably obliged to mention all possibilities, the likelihood of this cough developing into bronchitis is very remote.
With the prescriptions filled and no charge for the second visit to the FNP (which was surprising), drove down to the shopping centre on Backlick Rd. Visited Target, Trader Joes and the Giant supermarket for supplies, after dropping in on Popeyes (a chicken fast fooder) for lunch. We'd been to a Popeyes once before, in Alexandria and were decidedly unimpressed, but thought we'd give this food chain another try. A much better experience, though it was hard to find a place to sit down and consume our chicken delights - normally a sign of a good eatery. While it might have simply been a combination of lunchtime and the lack of any other fast food outlet in the vicinity, we were happy with the quality - it was at least fresh this time !
Leanne still absent in Ohio, but she returns tomorrow at around midday,
