    My niece in this photograph is 2 weeks old, and she is already a major part of my life. I took several different types of photographs of her, but this one looks so pure and beautiful, she is again part of my daily life and therefore my community. by: jacquelineheldoorn Views[194] This photograph of my grandmother I've added to show some portraiture and also to show the more important things in life, family. We live a suburb away from each other, but she is still a regular part of my life. I also added this photograph to contrast with my next photograph of my 2 week old niece. by: jacquelineheldoorn Views[207] This landscape photograph was taken while I was working through my community on the way to my grandmother's house. Walking there gave me the chance to actually look at the area that I usually drive past. It seems a lot more appealing then it does when you drive past. Again I wanted to highlight an area that no one usually pays attention to, and show it's beauty. by: jacquelineheldoorn Views[175] This photograph of one of my birds shows something I'm also passionate about, nature and animals. This bird flying onto the side of the cage was just the most perfect timing for me. It shows again things in my daily community that I've highlighted. by: jacquelineheldoorn Views[198] This flower in my backyard is actually in a broken pot, and is surrounded by a messy backyard. In this photograph I've pulled it away from those other objects and made it beautiful again. This is the purpose of my project for this competition, to either highlight things in my community that I wouldn't normally focus on, or the people in my own community that help shape who I am. by: jacquelineheldoorn Views[187]
