We journeyed from Battambang, in Western Cambodia, to the town of Kratie in the east. We arrived just in time to catch the sun setting on the famed Mekong River. At around 4200km, the Mekong is the longest river in Southeast Asia; it will be a friend that will accompany us in Laos and Vietnam, as well.
