We weren't allowed to photograph them, but the ultimate in gorgeous Buddha statues were housed in the Silver Pagoda – including an Emerald Buddha made of Baccarat crystal and a life-sized golden Buddha decorated with 9584 diamonds! These are some of the only Buddhist artifacts that survived the Khmer Rouge attempt to rid the nation of its religious heritage.
