I love having Sundays off from work!
Yes, I had today (Sunday) off from work. After Mass, P and I went out to lunch with several people from the choir (P sings in the choir). It was a lot of fun relaxing with several couples, their babies and other friends. We must have spent almost 3.5 hours catching up over brunch.
Afterward, P and I went to his house where we were going to cook the Auntie Annie pretzels and pumpkin pie but we were just not feeling it. So, we hung out on the couch and caught up on the week´s events that we had missed. We also made plans to take P´s good friend and wife out for a birthday dinner tomorrow night. I am looking forward to it because we are going to Maggiano´s - one of my favorite Italian restaurants! And of course, great company, as always.
Completely random note: I think I will try my hand at a spicy pene rosa shrimp dish. Aka, kickin´ red cream sauce over shrimp and pasta. Pass over any and all recipe ideas if you have any!
